On May 29, 2006, National Bio Energy Chifeng Biomass Power Plant Project gained approval from Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission (Nei-Fa-Gai-Neng-Yuan [2006] File No. 939).
The project pursues heat and power generation through direct burning of agricultural and forestry wastes and is consistent with the State’s policies for developing recyclable economy and saving energy, and with the energy development plan of the region for the “Eleventh Five-year Period”. The project is to build two 25000KW extraction condensing heat supply units associated with two 130t/h vibrating grate high-temperature high-pressure boilers. Total investment is estimated to be RMB¥490million and the project will consume 327000t agricultural and forestry wastes per annum once completed. |
